Ian Flint (Founder & Managing Director of Inform Logistics Limited)
Ian Flint specialised in the travel agency and hotel sectors for over 27 years, having worked for leading international travel and hotel companies both in the UK and overseas. Ian founded IF Associates in 1989 and built up a reputation that attracted major ‘blue chip’ clients.
Ian’s knowledge spans the latest strategic procurement techniques; change management and communication processes; category management expertise; and is known for his understanding of business and market cultural issues.
Ian became a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) in 1997. In 2007, IMC forged an alliance with the Chartered Management Institute and changed its name to the Institute of Business Consulting. Ian retains the highly regarded qualification of Certified Management Consultant and Fellow of IBC. Ian is able to give clients that extra peace of mind knowing the standard of work produced meets the exacting requirements and Professional Code of Conduct of the Institute.
In 1998, Ian was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management in recognition of his marketing achievements.
Ian was an independent consultant for 17 years before selling his business IF Associates to Hogg Robinson PLC (HRG) where became Head of Global Consulting for HRG Consulting – a Division within the Group. Ian ran a successful operation for HRG covering UK, North America and Europe for 2 years. Ian left HRG to launch Inform Logistics Limited with the aim of creating a ‘cutting edge’ consultancy with project management skills backed by a range of analytical technology and expertise. Already the company has won major new accounts.
Ian has personally been involved with the UK Government since the year 2000 and recently helped establish a consolidated air programme for the provision of air travel services for the UK public sector. This is the first time the UK Government has contracted directly with the airlines and is EU compliant - proividing major benefits for the public sector Departments to significantly reduce costs and to budget for air travel more effectively than ever before. Inform Logistics has been contracted to help manage the programme as it goes forward.
